Armelle holds a four-year law degree (maîtrise en droit) from Sorbonne - Paris I University and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She is also a graduate of ESSEC Business School. Admitted to the Paris Bar, Armelle practiced business law for almost 15 years, starting her career in the Paris and New York offices of Debevoise & Plimpton before joining the legal department of a listed multinational luxury goods company. During her time as a practicing lawyer, she advised French and international clients and colleagues on a broad variety of transactions and legal issues, thus developing a comprehensive legal practice, sound drafting skills and a sense of business practicality.

Armelle is now a happy legal translator, working from a small Gallic village, guaranteeing focus and confidentiality. For more than 10 years, she has been translating a wide array of legal documents, including contracts, arbitral awards, court decisions, corporate documents (articles of association, CSR reports, policies, etc.), legal memoranda and training materials. Mindful of both meaning and style, Armelle can adjust to the needs of diverse clients by providing translations that can range from literal to more idiomatic or “tailored” depending onthe target audience. Armelle translates from English to French.
