Born in England, Robina moved to France when she was 15 years old. She graduated from the law university, Montpellier 1, with a Masters in International Business Law before joining the Paris bar. For 7 years, Robina worked as a corporate lawyer specialised in projects and project finance in Francophone Africa and more specifically in the oil and gas and mining sectors at Herbert Smith Freehills and Allen & Overy LLP before returning to the UK to become General Counsel of a junior mining company based in London, but with its main interests in the Republic of Congo and Gabon.
Being fully bilingual, Robina was always given the French to English and the English to French translations and was often called upon to do simultaneous interpretation in client meetings with various top-level government representatives. After 4 years in-house followed by a few years consulting in mining law, all the while continuing to translate, Robina moved into translating full time. Specialised in all legal and commercial documentation relevant to projects and project finance, including BFS, fundraising dossiers, permit applications and renewals, arbitration submissions and quarterly reports, Robina also translates all corporate governance documentation, press releases, contracts and conditions of sale and purchase, GDPR policies, management and history books.
Robina translates from French to English and from English to French.
