Sylvie Deparis

Sylvie Deparis holds a doctorate degree from the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and a Master of Laws from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). As a member of the Paris Bar, she worked in the Paris office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP for 18 years. In that capacity, she advised clients on numerous international transactions (including mergers & acquisitions and private equity fund formation) and drafted the French and English legal documentation related thereto (stock or asset purchase agreements, joint-venture agreements, documentation related to private equity funds, etc.).

Sylvie Deparis also worked as a Chargée de mission in the Department of International Relations of the French Securities Commission (Autorité des marchés financiers).

Sylvie Deparis worked as a legal translator from 2006 through the end of 2020. She worked on a regular basis for law firms, notaries and an international arbitration institution. She was a member of the Société française des traducteurs (SFT).
